What are the treatment options for molluscum contagiosum?

I have always found that skin lesions like "molluscum contagiosum" challenging to treat. Options of treatment available consists of

1. monitor only

2. topical agents - podophyllotoxins, wart paint, antiseptics - anyone has used this with good effect?

3. surgical/procedural - cryotherapy, removing the soft umbilicated core, curretage and complete excision

It is also important to treat underlying skin conditions for eg: eczema.
